Ft. Hamby Pow Wow September 17-19, 2010

Fourth annual educational Native American Pow Wow.Lots of demonstrationsin addition to the regular pow wow activities. Childrens activities at the Laura Pavilion with Ranger Juanita Souther and us. Learn how to make a rain stick or a Gods Eye. Watch a dream catcher being made. A tee pee demonstration is only yards away. Learn how to dance or watch an arrowhead being made in the pow wow area.
Get together a ride and end up at the pow wow. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy the event or just relax in the park.
Veterans are especially invited to participate in our Grand Entry. Come and be honored for what you have done for your country.
Hours; The Park opens at 8AM and the Pow Wow is from 9 to 9 on Fri. and Say. and 9 to 5 on Sun.
Admission: $5 for Adults and $2 for Kids. Friday is Kids Day and Kids are FREE with the schools.
Directions: From Wilkesboro, NC, take US 421 north six miles. At the Ft. Hamby State Park sign turn south on South Recreation Road and go one mile to the park entrance.
