I know huh,, the lane splitting thing is not as fun on this bike yet,, getting used to it,, avoid it as much as possible... how are you enjoying your new bike?
Yes sir,, I might have to lower it a little,,on tiptoes now ;) I ride every thursday with a group out there,, through sunset up palisades to pch,, end up in Venice at a pizza place.
I have been down on bikes a few times and walked away with only bruises and/or road rash. I've been pretty lucky with bikes in that regard. I broke my arm while helping to install some hang-points for a gymnasium. The ladder from which I was working collapsed.
I must say, some wipe-outs are kinda funny tho. Haha...like the time my buddy who was parked next to me on his bike said, "I'll see you at the house," and then just dropped his bike, almost taking me out with him. :-] As to the punishing of good deeds...
Yes, the majority of motorcycle riders go down at some point. And, I'd like to think that I've gotten my crap-eating experiences out of the way! I started on the dirt and I've crashed in the dirt and on the pavement several times. Obviously, dirt is a little more forgiving. I'm certain that some of my wipeouts would have made some amusing video footage.
What do they ride, 2-stroke or 4-stroke dirt bikes? 2-strokes are another animal. They like high rpms and oily gas. You could ride a big 2-stroke bike. You just have to take it easy and get the feel. I had an IT 250 when I was like 14. That thing scared the crap out of me when I first got it! But, I learned how to ride (and crash) it fairly quickly. Just keep the tape rolling. Haha! You're kind of a night owl, huh? Me too. ;-)
A little addicted are we??? =) I just finished riding all the new sport bikes and cruisers for Kawasaki, Yamaha, and Honda. ;) Leaving for lake Havasu to ride the new Kawasaki watercrafts on Sunday for a whole week. Life is good!
